Meetings & Events
As part of our commitment to facilitating and promoting high-quality comparative effectiveness and safety research, the Center for Effectiveness & Safety Research offers meetings and events throughout the year.
Online Seminar Series
We offer ongoing online seminars on a variety of topics, including patient engagement, scientific findings from studies funded by the center, and observational and comparative effectiveness research methods. Scientific seminars are led by study principal investigators, while patient engagement seminars are led by invited guest speakers from within and outside Kaiser Permanente. The topics chosen for our popular methods seminar sessions are often suggested by Kaiser Permanente researchers and leaders. The methods online seminar series is facilitated by John Adams, PhD, the center's principal statistician, with key experts presenting on specific topics. All of the seminars are offered via webinar, with the 2016 webinars focusing on report cards and patient-reported outcomes.
The center has hosted an annual meeting since 2010, addressing topics of importance to the health care community and to Kaiser Permanente Research. The annual meeting provides a forum for researchers, analysts, and leaders from across Kaiser Permanente to meet and share ideas. Topics addressed at recent annual meetings have included innovation, Big Data, and the dissemination of research. The next annual meeting will take place in Berkeley, California on October 11 & 12, 2017 and will focus on Moving Research into Practice.
At this time, the meetings and events offered by the center are open only to Kaiser Permanente employees.
